The first in Serbia

Unused blood of slaughtered animals presents a huge issue in Vojvodina and is serious water and environmental polluter (takes the oxygen in the water and other living creatures die out as a result of it). Namely, examining the issue of removal and processing inedible side products of slaughtered animals in the region of Autonomous Province of Vojvodina, we came to a conclusion that slaughtering brings about a significant amount of blood. Blood makes 25% of total amount of animal litter, for which hygienic, ecologic and cost-effective solutions were to be found.

Blood processing in line with appropriate technological procedures leads to production of highly protein nutritious fodder for animals (so-called blood flour). Blood processed in this way would also be one of environmental protection methods, which is a primary goal, and the end product, rich in scarce essential amino acids, vitamins and minerals substances, iron in particular, would be used for nutrition of animals.

In this way, by introducing a new line for blood processing, we have become the first and only factory in Serbia doing this, and hence reached European standards and resolved serious ecology and environmental protection related issues for our country.
